🌟 1️⃣ As soon as

🔹 Meaning:

जैसे ही — एक काम होते ही दूसरा काम तुरंत हो जाता है।
(Used to show two actions happening one after another.)

🔹 Structure:

👉 As soon as + Subject + Verb (Past/Present), Subject + Verb (Past/Present).

🔹 Examples:

1. As soon as the bell rang, students ran out.
   → जैसे ही घंटी बजी, विद्यार्थी बाहर भाग गए।
2. As soon as I reached home, it started raining.
   → जैसे ही मैं घर पहुँचा, बारिश शुरू हो गई।
3. As soon as he saw me, he smiled.
   → जैसे ही उसने मुझे देखा, वह मुस्कुराया।
4. As soon as the sun rises, we will go out.
   → जैसे ही सूरज उगेगा, हम बाहर जाएंगे।
5. As soon as I opened the door, the dog barked.
   → जैसे ही मैंने दरवाजा खोला, कुत्ता भौंकने लगा।

✅ Note:
“As soon as” के बाद simple past या simple present आता है — tense दोनों clauses में एक जैसा होता है।

🌟 2️⃣ No sooner…than

🔹 Meaning:

जैसे ही — लेकिन यह थोड़ा formal और literary (लिखित) रूप होता है।
(Used in formal English; same meaning as “as soon as” but more emphatic.)

🔹 Structure:

👉 No sooner + had + Subject + V3 + than + Subject + Verb (Past).

🔹 Examples:

1. No sooner had I reached the station than the train left.
   → जैसे ही मैं स्टेशन पहुँचा, ट्रेन चली गई।
2. No sooner had he entered the class than the bell rang.
   → जैसे ही वह कक्षा में दाखिल हुआ, घंटी बजी।
3. No sooner had I sat down than the phone rang.
   → जैसे ही मैं बैठा, फोन बज उठा।
4. No sooner had we started eating than the lights went off.
   → जैसे ही हम खाना खाने लगे, बत्ती चली गई।
5. No sooner had she finished her homework than her friends came.
   → जैसे ही उसने होमवर्क खत्म किया, उसके दोस्त आ गए।

✅ Note:

• “No sooner” के बाद हमेशा had + V3 (past perfect) आता है।
• दूसरे clause में than का प्रयोग होता है।
• यह वाक्य inversion rule से शुरू होता है — यानी auxiliary verb (had) subject से पहले आता है।

Conversion :

🟢 (A) Convert “as soon as” → “no sooner…than”

1. As soon as I reached the station, the train left.
   ➡️ No sooner had I reached the station than the train left.
   👉 जैसे ही मैं स्टेशन पहुँचा, ट्रेन चली गई।
2. As soon as the teacher entered the class, students stood up.
   ➡️ No sooner had the teacher entered the class than the students stood up.
   👉 जैसे ही अध्यापक कक्षा में आए, विद्यार्थी खड़े हो गए।
3. As soon as I opened the door, the dog barked.
   ➡️ No sooner had I opened the door than the dog barked.
   👉 जैसे ही मैंने दरवाजा खोला, कुत्ता भौंकने लगा।
4. As soon as he finished his homework, he went to play.
   ➡️ No sooner had he finished his homework than he went to play.
   👉 जैसे ही उसने होमवर्क पूरा किया, वह खेलने चला गया।
5. As soon as they saw the police, they ran away.
   ➡️ No sooner had they seen the police than they ran away.
   👉 जैसे ही उन्होंने पुलिस को देखा, वे भाग गए।

🔵 (B) Convert “no sooner…than” → “as soon as”

1. No sooner had I reached home than it started raining.
   ➡️ As soon as I reached home, it started raining.
   👉 जैसे ही मैं घर पहुँचा, बारिश शुरू हो गई।
2. No sooner had we started eating than the lights went off.
   ➡️ As soon as we started eating, the lights went off.
   👉 जैसे ही हम खाना खाने लगे, बत्ती चली गई।
3. No sooner had he entered the class than the bell rang.
   ➡️ As soon as he entered the class, the bell rang.
   👉 जैसे ही वह कक्षा में आया, घंटी बजी।
4. No sooner had she finished the exam than she fell ill.
   ➡️ As soon as she finished the exam, she fell ill.
