(i) Someone is calling my name. (Change the voice)
✅ Passive: My name is being called (by someone).
🔹 Rule:
- Active → Passive: Object → Subject बन जाता है।
- Present Continuous → is/are being + V3।
📝 Example:
- Active: She is writing a letter.
- Passive: A letter is being written by her.
(ii) He is intelligent. He is hard working. (Combine using both…and)
✅ Combined: He is both intelligent and hard-working.
🔹 Rule:
- दो qualities एक ही subject के लिए हों → both … and का प्रयोग।

- She is both tall and beautiful.
(iii) Physics is more difficult than any other subject. (Positive degree)
✅ Rewritten: No other subject is as difficult as Physics.
🔹 Rule:
- Comparative (more… than) → Positive degree में बदलने के लिए:
No other + noun + is as + adjective + as + subject
📝 Example:
- Mount Everest is higher than any other mountain.
- No other mountain is as high as Mount Everest.
(iv) No sooner does a thief see a policeman than he runs away. (Use ‘as soon as’)
✅ Rewritten: As soon as a thief sees a policeman, he runs away.
🔹 Rule:
- “No sooner… than…” = “As soon as…”
- Word order normal हो जाता है।
📝 Example:
- No sooner did the bell ring than the students left.
- As soon as the bell rang, the students left.
(v) The man is our new English teacher. The man is wearing a white shirt. (Combine into one sentence)
✅ Combined: The man who is our new English teacher is wearing a white shirt.
🔹 Rule:
- Same subject वाले दो वाक्यों को जोड़ने के लिए → relative clause (who/which/that)।
📝 Example:
- The boy is my friend. The boy is singing.
- The boy who is singing is my friend.
(vi) She shut the door. (Negative sentence)
✅ Negative: She did not shut the door.
🔹 Rule:
- Past tense negative → did not + base form of verb।

- He went home. → He did not go home.
